I’ve been asked to participate in the Citrus Council Girl Scouts Camp CEO next month. Over the course of a one week camp, I’ll mentor two girls who have displayed leadership skills. I’ll also teach a resume-writing workshop.
It’s really exciting and I can’t wait! Originally I had planned to just spend one night, but after looking at all the activities they have planned, and after talking to the organizers, I’m 90% certain I’ll spend the whole week out at Mah-Ka-Wee, especially since they now have air conditioned cabins. Not that I mind roughing it, but this week I just can not imagine sleeping in a tent.
There’s more to tell about Camp CEO but I’m beat…driving into downtown Orlando and back in the heat just about did me in. I am amazed at how quickly I forgot how rotten Interstate 4 can be. People just will not let you merge. I am so lucky not to have to deal with that crap on a daily basis.
