I just got home about half an hour ago, and when I went out back to shut the coop, the sky was just magical. It’s a very dark night but there’s a very pretty moon and the stars are really bright. Then I heard a whippoorwill — the only thing more perfect would have been an owl. It’s the kind of night that if I still smoked I’d sit in the adirondack chair and smoke half a pack of cigarettes.
Earlier this evening, I won a gorgeous bamboo bowl from Pampered Chef — I started wanting to win the bowl this morning when Kristi showed it off at our B2B meeting. I live, as my Dad would have said, a charmed life. AND Joyce started reading here today. 🙂
And tomorrow is the 100th day of the Obama Administration. My beloved is still waiting for one of two things to happen: 1) the world to stop spinning, or 2) the complete collapse of civilized society. In my opinion, if eight years of Bush II wasn’t enough to bring us to our knees, it’ll take more than 100 days of Obama.
So what’s the point of this entry? I don’t know. Just that it’s been a great day and the sky is beautiful tonight. Isn’t that enough?
